P1304 CIVIL PREPAREDNESS

BOARD POLICY:

It is the policy of the Wichita Public School system for the principal to dismiss all pupils and personnel in case of a nuclear attack warning.

Administrative Implemental Procedures:

1.      Employees, parents, and pupils in the building should be notified that all building personnel will be dismissed immediately after the principal receives official notice of a nuclear attack warning.

2.      Official notice of a nuclear attack warning will come through the community alarm system or from the Superintendent.
